It’s really hard to say. Blu Ray isn’t selling all that well. Personally, I think it’s because they media companies think they can charge too much for Blu Ray. An up converting DVD player creates a picture that looks pretty good. Why pay a Blu Ray price when you can make a standard DVD look almost as good? Certainly a higher resolution than Blu Ray would probably be pointless. The average viewer couldn’t see the difference. If they can’t see the difference, why would they buy it?
